Chicken and fish are not vegetables
The new vegetables chicken and fish?
What happened here?
Why are so many people claiming
to be vegetarians and say that they eat a "little
chicken and fish?"
When did chicken and fish become vegetables?
Whoa! back up here, did I miss something locked away
in my vegan world?
Ok, let's check the Webster dictionary.
Vegetarian:
A person who eats no meat and sometimes no animal products (as milk,eggs etc.)
Chicken:
A common farm bird raised for its edible eggs or flesh.
Fish:
A large group of cold blodded vertebrate animals living in water.
So I did not miss anything. Even Ovo/lacto vegetarians
are not true vegetarians, to me they fall into the
same group as the "little chicken and fish" eaters.
Rightfully they should not claim that status. Consider
the cruelty involved in the production of eggs and
dairy products not to mention how unhealthy
commercially raised cows and chickens are. Delicious
vegetable based alternative should give ovo/lactos
good reason to change.
I conclude that here again the meaning of words in the
english language are being changed and twisted to
suite some reason or thing. In this case to suite
their PLATES.
